With fall at it's close and winter on the brink, things look colorfully magnificent in the city of Arvada, Colorado.
These last couple of days I have been spending with friends and family in the area. And it's been a blast! From skating it up at the parks to just chill'in and enjoying each others company, friends are family.
One thing I've come to realize the last few days is this: there are certain gifts, talents, dreams that we were never meant to lay down, but were supposed to run with them, taking them as far as we can. Yes, God gave us things to enjoy them! And I am so grateful that he doesn't ask me to give up those dreams, because really, they show me how to more clearly reflect God and his desires for us.
Ever notice when you really love doing something, you want to spend time doing it all the time? Well, that's how it is when God, our Father thinks of us. He loves us and loves it when he gets to spend time with us. The only thing is...we have to give him our time as well. One thing we as humans are incapable of doing is being in two places at once. But, it is possible to do things with God. Who ever said God doesn't skate, or hang out with friends, or adventure into the woods, or dance, or (whatever it is you dreamed of being as a child)?
So, I supposes the point is this: if you love doing something, do it with all your heart (be passionate in it), but do it with God, because he longs to spend time with you- especially in the things you enjoy. :)
Agreed friend! Very true.
